Interesting video on how to recover or warm up with the ball. Special thanks to Veljko Paunović (Serbia U20 Soccer Coach).
This is a video we did last year showing some new thoughts we had about organizing our warm-up. We like to think FMS when we warmup. That means a squat pattern exercise, a hip flexion/ stepping exercise, a split squat, some rotary and linear core, and some shoulder and t-spine.
This is the warm-up for Olympic weightlifting recommended by Greg Everett of Catalyst Athletics. Before starting the specific warming up with the barbell, you can use the “general” warm-ups to address mobility issues and loosen up the joints, as well to increase the temperature. Perform each drill for 10-15 reps.
