Undulating Programming with Strength Card Builder

In the previous video I explained differences between “traditional” and “undulating” approach to strength training planning. In this video I will describe how you can set it up in Strength Card Builder.

Mixing up training without losing structure can be tricky. Especially when you’re rotating different loads, rep ranges, and intensities from session to session. That’s exactly where the Strength Card Builder can make things easier.

Even though the tool was originally designed around more traditional progressions, it actually handles undulating programming really well. With a small tweak, you can set up multiple loading patterns, shuffle them across workouts, and keep everything organized without overthinking it.

If you want to see how the whole setup works in practice, check out the video below. It walks through the process step-by-step.

The good news is that we have recently released a newly redesigned version of Strength Card Builder, which now includes more than 1900 set and rep schemes from the Strength Training Manual Books (Volume 1 & Volume 2).

Here are the PDF previews of the Strength Card Builder outputs:

  1. Individual card
  2. Group card – portrait (12×8)
  3. Group card – landscape (6×10)
