Notice: Port Adelaide Football Club

I have recently moved to Adelaide, Australia to join the Port Adelaide Football Club staff as strength coach and data scientist (go figure 🙂 ). This is a dual role which I definitely prefer to than being either muscle head or a lab coat 🙂

Australian Football is completely new sport/culture for me and I am more than looking forward emerging in it. Working and learning alongside Darren Burgess, Ian McKeown, Tim McGrath, Stuart Graham and other high-performance staff makes me feel more than excited. The facility and the staff are really amazing and I am looking forward to the pre-season start to meet our boys as well.

I want to thank my fellow Australians – Dylan Shaun, Brendan Tammo, Chris Brandner, Pitre Bourdon (wish I attended more practices Pitre 🙂 ), Luke Gallagher and his miss Isobel Maeve Reynolds and many others for all the tips and help, but mostly Darren Burgess for the opportunity and trust in my skills.

I am really hoping to bring the value to the club. First couple of weeks I will be mostly “floating” around getting to know the culture, boys and the staff, helping Ian in the gym and setting up the AMS and go from there.

For those who are not familiar with Aussie Rules football here is a short clip:
