How to Download VALD Data the Fast Way with R – ForceDecks, NordBord and ForceFrame
In this video, I’m showing you how to download all of your VALD data through R in the fastest and cleanest way possible. No more clicking around the Hub and exporting one test at a time. Whether you’re using ForceDecks, NordBord, or ForceFrame, you can pull everything in a few seconds and get a ready-to-use CSV that you can drop straight into Power BI, Shiny, or whatever you’re using for analysis.
You simply set the date, and R downloads everything from that moment onward. I personally prefer going day by day — we finish a testing session, and in the evening, I just pull everything for that exact day. Quick, simple, and practical.
The whole point of this video is to speed up your workflow. Once you set up this script, every download after that is basically copy and paste, and you’re done. Instead of spending half an hour exporting files from the Hub, you get everything instantly, and you can spend your time where it actually matters, not on admin work but on using the data, coaching, and making decisions.
One thing I didn’t covered in this video is how to create a project in RStudio and how to structure or save your files, but I hope everyone will manage that part easily. There are plenty of good tutorials on YouTube if you’re just getting started with RStudio and project organization.
